Face painting is a great way to for you kids to express what they would like to be – especially when it comes to animal faces – most of the boys usually goes for the lion faces, to show they are the head of the pack and the leader – It gives them that confidence to be on top when showing off his face painted like a lion or a tiger – and you could keep you children busy for quit some time painting their precious faces.
It can be booked for any event, sport day or a fair... face painting is a great way to make it more exciting and fun. It is very popular at kids parties especially when it fits right into the theme you chose for your little one – for example when you decided to do curious George – you can paint their faces likes monkeys, or when your doing a carnival party paint them like clown and some animals, butterfly faces for a butterfly themed party.
Madagascar Themed Party Tip
Some ideas when doing a Madagascar into the wild themed birthday party:
When decorating your gazebo drape it with Hessian to give it that wild live
effect -Purchase some soft toys to include as a gift with the party packs. We
decided to get 5 cm stick and tie the Hessian around them filled with sweeties;
we stuck the stick into the ground next to each chair – with his friend’s
names on it.We did not go for the usual photoboard – my husband made a jeep
out of cardboard and we used it for the photo board and display stand – it
will now be used for a bed in Ryan’s jungle room . We hanged ape teddy bears
down from the gazebo and used banana leaves to decorate the gazebo. We also made
jungle biscuits and the cake was made out of flakes and leaves with wildlife
animals. For the invites you can create binoculars and ask each child to bring
theirs along to the party so that can al go on a safari – put soft toys in the
garden so that they can spot them we going on safari through the garden.
Do you wonder where to get started? Don’t feel alone you are 1 of thousand parents out there not knowing where to start
Here are some quick steps to guide you.
Step 1 – Theme and Colour Scheme
This is a very important part of planning your child party– as you would like everything to fit perfectly for you little ones special day – it does not necessarily mean that you have to get everybody to dress the same and that all the pink at the party needs to be “ cherise pink” but getting the basic colours will be just perfect.
The theme is up to you to decide if you little one is still too young – choose a theme that will suit your baby personality and that you are happy to do. With over 100 themes to choose from believe me it is not an easy one – and how to decide what age is used for the correct theme is not easy – also consider the ages of the children attending the party – for instance a fun at 1 with soft toys and marshmallow will not be to cool if you have a lot of 3-4 year olds attending – so also think of everybody else – to make the day as much fun for everybody and not just the Birthday boy or girl.
When deciding on the theme ensure that you will be able to get everything you require for the party in that specific theme and if you would like to dress up that there is somebody who will be able to assist with costume making.

Turn the sleeves of 2 jackets inside out. Hang these jackets on the backs of 2 chairs. The chairs are with their backs to each other at a distance of 1 meter. Put a 2m. rope under these 2 chairs. Both of the participants stand at their chairs. On hearing the signal, they take their jackets off the chairs, turn the sleeves out, put them on and do up all the buttons. Then each "fireman" runs round the chair of the rival, takes his seat and pulls the rope. The first player to cope with the task is the winner.
